For the period from January to June, TimlyuiCement (a subsidiary of Sibcem Holding) produced 183.9 thou. tons of cement – 3% more than in the six months of 2022. The sales volume increased by 7% compared to the same indicator last year and amounted to 187.6 thou. tons of products.

After an unstable first half for the Brazilian economy marked by high interest rates, high debt and family defaults, cement sales accumulated a 1.8% drop compared to the same period of 2022 with the sale of 30.3 million tons in the first six months of the year.

Holcim announces that Beat Hess, Chairman of the company since 2016, has decided not to seek re-election to the Board of Directors at the AGM in May 2023. The Board of Directors intends to propose Jan Jenisch as the new Chairman at the AGM. Subject to the vote, he will succeed as the Chairman and continue as CEO of Holcim for a limited duration.
