A New Polycarboxylate Esters Production Facility Has Been Built Near Nizhny Novgorod

A large Russian manufacturer of chemical additives for cement and concrete, Sintez OKA group, plans to increase both the quality and quantity of its products. By the end of the year, the company intends to commission a facility to produce polycarboxylate esters in Dzerzhinsk, Nizhny Novgorod Region.

Polycarboxylate esters are additives that allow to use less water in concrete production.
Polycarboxylate esters production launched back in 2016.

“We started the production on an existing facility and adapted equipment for the process," says the COO of Sintez’s affiliate company Himtek Engineering Sergey Rybalchenko. "Once we mastered the process and worked out all the necessary parameters, we decided to design and build a new facility.”

According to Sergey Rybalchenko, not a single construction operation can do without polycarboxylates additives in concrete today. Production at a new technological level will increase both the quantity and quality of products. The new facility will create 20 jobs opportunities at the enterprise near Nizhny Novgorod.

Synthesis OKA was the first in Russia to master the industrial production of diethanol isopropanolamine (DEIPA) at the end of 2018 and abandon its import. DEIPA is one of the basic compounds in cement grinding intensifiers.
