As part of the holding's investment program, AO Lipetskcement (part of the EUROCEMENT group) is gradually implementing a project to install a modern Magotteaux SD-70 separator on a cement mill in order to improve and stabilize the quality of products, increase production, reduce the clinker factor, increase the level of energy efficiency and process reliability, as well as reduce operating costs for equipment maintenance. According to the calculations of the plant's specialists, the transition to the production of separated cement will reduce the cost and increase the competitiveness of the products.
A working meeting of AO Lipetskcement specialists with representatives of the design organization took place at the industrial site of the plant. During the meeting, the parties discussed the terms of reference, stages and conditions for the implementation of design work and the supply of main technological equipment. The company is currently preparing a site for the installation of a separator. Commissioning of the equipment is scheduled for May-June 2022.
Elvin Alish Ogly Mammadov, General Director of AO Lipetskcement: “The transition to a closed grinding cycle will help us to increase the mill productivity by 20 %, stabilize the quality of cement, and reduce equipment repair costs. Separated products are superior in quality characteristics to cement produced in an open grinding cycle. In this construction season, the plant has already shipped 516.8 thousand tons of products to consumers, which is 37 % more than in the same period last year. I am confident that with the new separator we will be able to further increase the volume of cement production and meet the highest consumer requirements for our products".
