Bach Dang Cement JSC has officially commissioned the Lien Khe cement plant in Hai Phong, Vietnam. The new facility features a 3,500t/day clinker production line, with a cement production capacity of 1.5–1.7Mt/yr.
The plant is equipped with modern production technology and machinery supplied by manufacturers from G7 countries and Europe. The company plans to implement waste heat recovery, increased dust recycling, co-processing of industrial waste and, in the future, CCUS (carbon capture, utilisation and storage) technology to reduce CO₂ emissions.
Bach Dang Cement is also planning a second clinker line with a capacity of 5,000–6,000t/day, which will further increase the plant's production capacity.
The project includes an integrated limestone quarry with an extraction capacity of 1.24Mt/yr and a 7.5ha inland port capable of handling vessels of up to 5,000DWT, supporting efficient raw material supply and product logistics.
According to the company, the project will strengthen the supply of construction materials in northern Vietnam, contribute approximately 7.6m USD annually to the local economy and create 300–400 jobs.
