The volume of cement consumption in Brazil in January 2021 amounted to 5.03 million tons, which is 10.1 % more than in January 2020, according to the Union of the Cement Industry of Brazil (SNIC). The total volume of cement production by Brazilian enterprises in January increased by 10.5 % and amounted to 5.06 million tons.
Less than 1 % of all cement produced in January was exported — 30,000 tons. At the same time, the volume of exports increased 2.1 times compared to January 2020.
At the end of 2020, the volume of cement production in Brazil increased by 10.9 % compared to 2019 and amounted to 60.79 million tons.
