A pilot shipment of cement in new extra large big-bags was received from the Republic of Belarus. They can carry from 10 to 14 tons of cement. Such packaging is easier to move, and the storage period of cement in it in the open air is extended up to three months.
This is much more profitable than transportation by regular big-bags, which have a smaller volume - only one ton, as well as a more complicated method of loading and unpacking.
"The new packaging will allow us to increase the volume of goods delivered. These bib-bags are quite practical, they can be reused up to 10-12 times. Moreover, they allow us to transfer 10 tons into a cement truck in 8-10 minutes, which means it takes about 20 minutes to load one truck. We will recommend our cement consumers to consider using this method of delivery along with regular big-bags", - said Alexander Rolbinov, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Kaliningrad region.
