In 8M 2020 cement enterprises of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan continue to show positive dynamics, moving closer to last year’s production volumes. In January-August, the country's plants produced 1.18 million tons of cement, which is 17 % less than in January-August 2019. All while Q1 2020 had cement production down by 34.2 % YoY.
The volume of cement production in August this year decreased by 1.4 % compared to August 2019 and amounted to 227,700 tons.
The production of ready-mixed concrete in Kyrgyzstan in August 2020 decreased by 1.3 %, down to 69,900 tons. RMC production in January-August decreased by 25.1 % (from 40.3 % in H1 2020), down to 354,300 tons.
The total design capacity of the republic's enterprises reaches 3 million tons of cement per year. In 2019, factories of Kyrgyzstan produced 2 million tons of cement, 4 % more than in 2018.
