Cemento País will begin operations in Turbaco, Bolívar

Cemento País will soon begin its operations with an ultramodern cement and concrete plant on the North Coast of Colombia.

In October of this year, in Turbaco, a municipality in the north of Bolívar, Cemento País  will open a cement factory with the support of local investors who are betting on the coastal and Central American and Caribbean markets.

The plant is in its final phase in the Cristalina Free Zone, in the Aguas Prietas village, in Turbaco, and will have a maximum capacity of 475,000 tons of cement per year. The investment is 20 million dollars.

This plant will produce general-purpose cement, construction cement and bulk cement for large construction companies. It will also be able to produce 300,000 m3 of concrete per year, through Concreto País, highlighted Carlos Espinosa, Cemento País's Commercial Manager.

The company initially bets on the Caribbean Coast market, with emphasis on Bolívar, Atlántico and Magdalena.

The plant starts generating 80 direct jobs and when it is at full capacity it will employ up to 300 people.
