At the Höver cement plant of Holcim in Germany a membrane CCS technology is under construction.
After initial tests 2 year ago, in the 2nd phase of the project, about 10 kta of CO₂ shall be captured with the membrane technology from the exhaust gases of the plant.
The project has received funding approval by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action.
The test module will be operated for 12 months before being relocated to another test site outside Germany for other carbon capture installations.
