The new paper bag plant of the CYCNA de Oriente company of the La Cruz Azul Cooperative in Palmar de Bravo was inaugurated, which has the capacity to produce up to 360 units per minute.
The event was attended by members of the Board of Directors and Surveillance of the Cooperative, authorities of the government of Puebla, members of the CruzHada civil association, local businessmen, cement distributors, union representatives, workers and members of the cooperative.
Víctor Manuel Velázquez Rangel, president of the Board of Directors of Cooperativa La Cruz Azul, recalled that CYCNA de Oriente is located in the Former Hacienda La Noria, where it manufactures cement and cement-based products. Therefore, he highlighted that the strategic location of the bag factory facilitates access to essential resources such as water, drainage and electricity, while optimizing the logistics of filling the bags, ensuring an efficient and sustainable process.
In this sense, he added that the investment in these new facilities represents a clear example of how the private sector can collaborate with the development of local communities and contribute to sustainable economic growth in the region.
At the time, Governor Sergio Salomón Céspedes Peregrina recognized CYCNA de Oriente for trusting and investing in the entity, while confirming that Puebla is a place that provides guarantees to investors.
In 2015 the second production line of this CYCNA de Oriente company of the La Cruz Azul Cooperative was inaugurated, with which it reached a production of 2.7 million tons of cement per year.
