EUROCEMENT Group has allocated more than 280 million rubles for the restoration of a kiln with a unique diameter (5.6 x 5 x 185 m) at Mordovcement. The kiln reconstruction took place as part of a large-scale modernization program of EUROCEMENT Group. The wet-process kiln has already been put into operation.
In the process of reconstruction, large-scale work was carried out on the kiln shell: the bandage No. 2 was replaced, as well as roller supports, the missing stops and fixers of the support plates on the bandages No. 1,3,4,5,6 were installed, as well as welding cracks along the kiln shell (about 35 sq. m).
The lining was also overhauled: 118 m of lining were replaced in total, 50 m of them with magnesia bricks, and 68 m with aluminosilicate refractory. The cost of repairing the refractory lining amounted to about 36 million rubles.
As part of the modernization, the chain curtain of the rotary kiln was replaced to reduce the specific fuel consumption. 105 tons of new chains were installed. Now the Mordovcement kiln has the best energy efficiency indicators.
In addition, extensive work has been done on the FLSmidth Cross-Bar clinker refrigerator. The support rollers were replaced, the clinker spill was eliminated, the fans were restored, the lower and upper air distribution plates were replaced. A complete replacement of the refrigerator aspiration filter hoses was also carried out.
