Federal Antimonopoly Service: a register of major producers of building materials will appear in Russia

FAS Russia will create a register of major producers of basic and auxiliary building materials. The agency will be able to control promptly the pricing by organizations capable of influencing these markets, and also to detect unreasonable growth of prices and take appropriate measures.

The FAS of Russia is planning to create a register for the markets of wood, non-metallic and paintwork materials, cement, bricks, aerated concrete, mineral wool, sheet glass, roofing materials, bitumen and primary polymers. In the first half of 2021, the Federal Antimonopoly Service received over 600 appeals about the growth of prices of construction materials. For this reason the agency took measures to resolve the situation.
