Freight One ensures uninterrupted delivery of slag in open wagons for the construction of the M-12 highway between Moscow and Kazan. Products are transported from NLMK's industrial sites to the station of the Gorkovskaya Main Line. From February to May, 717 thousand tons of products were delivered to the construction sites.
“We are faced with uneven arrival of cars from other owners at the station of the Gorky railway. As a result, access to the unloading sites was limited, there were not enough shunting locomotives, and the rolling stock was idle for a long time, waiting for processing. Together with colleagues from the Voronezh branch of Freight One, NLMK, Russian Railways and DSK Avtoban, have organized teamwork on scheduling slag shipment and precise regulation of the supply of loaded wagons, taking into account the availability of sites and the availability of traction. This made it possible to ensure the construction of the M-12 highway with the necessary materials on time,” stated Taras Zaluzhny, director of the Nizhny Novgorod branch of Freight One.
Freight One maintains a complete record of shipments, receipts and presence of gondola cars with slags at the unloading points, information is promptly transmitted to all participants in the transportation process. As a result, the average idle time of wagons under unloading in May was 2.5 days, while the standard was 2.82 days. Work on improving the slag delivery technology continues.
