Holcim breaks ground for OLYMPUS CCS project in Greece

Holcim has broken ground at the state-of-the-art OLYMPUS CCS project at its Milaki cement plant in Greece, engineered to produce 2 Mta of near-zero cement from 2029.

The project will deploy the combination of OxyCalciner and Cryocap™ FG technologies by Air Liquide as a novel cost-efficient innovation for carbon capture. The planned investment is EUR 400m, of which EUR 125 million are European funds.
