The shareholders of the company Élite Cements S.L., Grupo Simetría and Holcim España, have reached an agreement whereby Holcim acquires the entire share capital of Élite Cements, thus becoming the sole shareholder of the company.
Élite Cementos, located in the port of Grao de Castellón, will continue to operate under the same brands and will maintain its commercial activity, combining the experience and vision of sustainable growth of Holcim.
For its part, Simetría Grupo continues with its diversification strategy. In recent years, Simetría has grown, achieving a turnover of 290 million euros in 2022, 11.25 % more than in the previous year. This growth has been reinforced by the expansion of its business in the business services area, for which it has a firm commitment that it will continue to promote with this new capital increase, thus investing in waste management services, integrated water cycle, energy and construction materials.
For Holcim, this acquisition represents the consolidation of its position as a benchmark in the construction materials industry.
