Huaxin Cement completed the acquisition of aggregate supplier EMBU SA in Brazil for a transaction value of US$ 176.9m.
Established over 60 years ago, EMBU SA is a top construction aggregate provider in the Sao Paulo state, operating 4 modern quarries (photo) with a capacity of 8.8 Mta.
The move of Huaxin into South America marks an important step in its ‘going global’ strategy. With this latest acquisition, Huaxin now operates in 13 countries worldwide with a diversified portfolio including cement, concrete, aggregates and recycling.
