In the first half of October, the technical transformation project of Tanzania-Huaxin-Mavenni cement clinker production line, which is Huaxin Cement's first production line in Africa, was successfully put into operation, cement has successfully started to arrive at the storage facility. The output of the clinker production line is 4000 tons / day.
As previously reported, the agreement for Huaxin Cement Company to acquire 100% of the shares of Tanzania Mavenni Cement Company was successfully signed in September 2019. Mavenni is a wholly-owned subsidiary of a Kenyan listed company in Tanzania, which owns a clinker production line with a daily output of 4,000 tons and a cement grinding station with an annual output of 750,000 tons.
This is the first project that Huaxin Cement has invested in Africa since the expansion of its international business, and it is also the first overseas M&A project, which marked the success of Huaxin Cement out of Asia and the start of its development in Africa.
