India’s Ramco Cements has raised WHR capacity

India’s Ramco Cements has commissioned an 8MW waste heat recovery (WHR) system at its Ramasamy Raja Nagar cement plant in Virudhu Nagar in Tamil Nadu.

With this installation the WHR generation of the 3 Mta integrated plant has increased to 10 MW, which substitutes about 35-40% of the plant’s overall energy requirement. In total, Ramco Cements operates 5 integrated plants and increased the WHR capacity at these plants to 53.15 MW.
