A joint economic meeting between Afghan and Iranian trade delegations in Farah, Afghanistan, has finalized a contract to buy 50,000 tonnes of cement worth $2.5 million.
The meeting focused on expanding trade and transit, with both sides stressing increased movement of cargo trucks, easier conditions for traders and the removal of border obstacles.
Farah is one of Afghanistan’s western provinces bordering Iran and is considered one of the key commercial crossings between the two countries.
