Kazakh cement producers manufactured nearly 7 Mt of Portland cement in January–July 2026, up 5 % year-on-year from 6.6 Mt in the same period of 2025.
This was the highest production volume recorded for the first half of the year since records began in 2008, highlighting the resilience and available capacity of Kazakhstan’s cement industry.
Erbol Akymbaev, Executive Director of the QazCem Cement Producers Association, attributed the strong performance to cooperation between the government and industry, as well as continued investment by cement producers in modernising production and improving technology.
The growing output further strengthens the cement industry’s role as one of the key drivers of industrial growth in Kazakhstan.
