Kovalska Plans US$ 45 Million Investment in New Concrete Production Plant

Kovalska will build an aerated concrete production plant for the production of on the basis of its Rozvadov industrial complex in the Lviv region of Ukraine. The design capacity of the enterprise will be 500,000 m3 at the first stage and will reach 1 million m3 once the second stage of the project is complete. The volume of investments in the project will amount to US$ 45 million.

The new production complex will occupy an area of ​​15 hectares and will provide 300 jobs.

“Expansion of production capacities in the Lviv region will ensure the national leadership of the company in this segment,” says Serhiy Pilipenko, co-owner of Kovalska.

Kovalska is one of the three largest producers of aerated concrete in Ukraine. At Rozvadov industrial complex, Kovalska is also building a plant for the production of building mixtures under its SILTEK brand with a capacity of 150,000 tpa.

In October, the company renewed its heavy equipment fleet at the Rozvadovsky quarry. At the end of October, Kovalska’s Innovation and Technology Center announced the successful completion of research on concrete with increased resistance to sulfate corrosion.

Rozvadov industrial complex includes Rozvadovsky quarry and Kovalska’s production enterprises located in the vicinity of the raw materials base.

The industrial construction group Kovalska was created on the basis of the Kiev Plant of Reinforced Concrete Products No. 3. As of today, the group unites 11 enterprises for the production of building materials: concrete mixes, reinforced concrete products, concrete elements of landscape design, dry construction mixtures, granite, paint and decorative plaster. The group also includes the company Kovalska Real Estate, which is engaged in the construction of residential buildings in Kiev.
