‘Krasnoyarsky Cement’ Plant Upgrades Raw Materials Transportation Fleet

Krasnoyarsky Cement plant purchased new dump trucks for limestone delivery (from quarry to production site). Eight BelAZ trucks in the fleet to be replaced with seven Volvos according to the plant management team. The use of modern vehicles should lead to lower operating costs — lower fuels and lubricants consumption, less frequent repairs.

The first Volvo dump truck arrived at the plant in December 2019. The second truck arrived by March. Each car costs about 13 million rubles. Volvo trucks immediately replace BelAZ to transport raw materials. In the next 3-4 years, the plant is expected to completely renew the transportation fleet. Modern Volvo dump trucks have a large carrying capacity, do not break as often, said Managing Director of ‘Krasnoyarsky Cement’ LLC Vladimir Afanasin. In addition, the new Volvo trucks are compliant with euro 5 truck emission standards.

‘Krasnoyarsky Cement’ plant is the oldest asset of ‘Siberian Cement’ holding company. Its first kiln launched on October 26, 1944. The plant's design capacity is 1.1 million tons of cement per year, with the raw material base being the Torgashinsky limestone deposit and the Kuznetsovskoye clay deposit. The plant runs a wet process production line.
