Lafarge Poland: a new stage of modernization has begun at Malogoszcz cement plant

A new stage of modernization has begun at the Lafarge plant in Poland. Once completed, cement production will reduce CO2 emissions by about 20%. The energy consumption of the new rotary kiln will be reduced by 30%. It is also planned to build an installation for the combustion of alternative fuels.

According to Krzysztof Byczyński, director of the Małogoszcz cement plant modernization project, “One of the three existing kilns has already been dismantled and a new one will be built in its place. Currently, preparatory work is underway. The new cement line at the Małogoszcz plant will be launched in spring of 2023.”

Lafarge has been operating in Poland since 1995 and is part of the Holcim holding.
