Lucky Cement considers 2.5Mt/yr cement plant in Libya

Pakistan-based Lucky Cement has held talks with Libya's Privatisation and Investment Board (PIB) on a proposed 2.5Mt/yr cement plant in the coastal city of Khoms.

The project is intended to meet growing domestic cement demand and support Libya's reconstruction and industrial development. The parties also discussed the country's investment climate, project requirements and the next steps needed to advance the investment.
