On July 28 the Acting Head of Mordovia Artem Zdunov visited the construction site of a new cement plant OOO Magma-Cement started to build in the Dubensky district in 2021.
It is planned to complete the project in 5 years, the capacity of the plant will be 1200 kt of cement per year. 300 high-paid jobs will be created in production. It is planned to finish construction and to receive the first batch of cement in 2026. Contracts have already been signed for the supply of Danish-made equipment. One of the energy sources for the cement plant will be alternative fuel, a line for the production of which from MSW is also planned in Mordovia. But still, gas will be the main source of energy.
In the presence of the head of the region a gas pipeline was started at the site, its length will be about 14 km. This pipeline will provide about 200 million cubic meters of gas for the needs of the plant. The gas pipeline construction will be finished within 8 months.
