President of Tajikistan inaugurates cement plant in Dushanbe

А new Tochiksement plant was inaugurated in Dushanbe within 35 hectares in Ismoili Somoni district.

The plant was launched in the presence of President Emomali Rahmon and Mayor Rustami Emomali.

According to the report, the plant is equipped with the necessary infrastructure - there is an administrative building, a control center, a diagnostic center, warehouses, a kitchen and technical repair stations.

"Special importance was given to the environmental safety of the plant, which uses more than 50 air purifiers to prevent emissions of harmful substances. Moreover, the collected cement dust is recycled," says the press service of the head of state.

It is stressed that after the opening of "Tochiksement" there are plans to close the old cement plant in Dushanbe, which started its operation back in 1942 and has serious depreciations, causing a negative impact on the environment and ecology of the city.

The new Tochiksement plant has a production capacity of 3,300 tons of cement per day and 1.2 million tons per year.

The cement produced meets international standards and includes sulfate cement types 500 and 400. More than 700 local residents are employed here.
