In the first quarter of 2021, cement production companies of the Russian Federation produced 8.9 million tons of cement (Portland cement, alumina cement, slag cement and other similar hydraulic cements). This is 8.2% less than in January-March 2020. In March 2021, production decreased by 7.5% compared to March 2020.
The volume of ready-mixed concrete production in the first quarter of 2021 amounted to 5.7 million m3, which is 5.1% less than in January-March 2020. Compared to the first quarter of 2020, the volume of lime production in January-March 2021 decreased by 2.6%, to 2.8 million tons, and gypsum - by 0.1%, to 0.9 million tons.
