Glavgosexpertiza of Russia has approved adjustments to the draft construction of the automobile checkpoint "Pogranichny" in Primorsky Krai.
The new infrastructure and modern inspection systems will increase its capacity to 1,300 vehicles per day.
The multi-vehicle checkpoint is located 11.5 km southwest of the village of Pogranichny on the Pogranichny–Suifenhe highway.
The land area that the facility will occupy will be more than 13 hectares.
"The developed schematic diagram of the facility's organization ensures border, customs and other types of state control over the passage of persons, vehicles, goods and goods across the state border," said Dmitry Fedorin, chief expert of the project.
The design solutions provide for the construction of new checkpoint buildings. It is planned that 600 cars and 500 trucks per day, as well as 200 buses, will be able to cross the border.
The traffic of freight transport and buses will be divided. The layout scheme and the list of projected buildings and structures were adopted based on the technical requirements of the state control bodies.
