Loading on the network of Russian Railways amounted to 109 million tons in August 2021, which is 0.9% more than in the same period last year (0.1% more than in August 2019).
Freight turnover in August 2021 increased by 1.9% compared to the same period last year and amounted to 220.9 billion (tariff ton-km), freight turnover, taking into account the empty run of wagons, increased by 0.9% over the same period and amounted to 276.6 billion ton-km.
Handling in January–August 2021 amounted to 849.8 million tons, which is 4% more than in the same period last year. Amount of cement transported by rail – 17.9 million tons (+7.2%) and construction cargo – 85.8 million tons (-3.5%).
