The Indian cement company Shree Cement plans to increase its production capacity in the country to 80 million tons per year by 2029.
With the commissioning of cement plants in Raipur, Hyderabad and Kolkata, Shree Cement has been able to achieve in India a cement production capacity of 62.8 Mta beginning of this year.
The growth of indicators will also ensure a integrated plant with a capacity of 3.9 million tons per year in Kodla (Karnataka), which is in the final stages and will be commissioned within the third quarter of FY 2026.
This project and the latest capacity expansions move the company closer to their mid-term goal of crossing 80 Mta by 2029.
At Shree Cement, the growth philosophy is built on creating value with the production of decarbonised cements. Today, more than 85% comes from blended cements like PPC and PSC.
