Sibcem Holding sums up the preliminary results of its work in 2022. According to forecast data, 5.1 million tons of cement will be produced at the company's five cement plants from January to December (the volume of production in 2021 is almost 5.2 million tons).
It is planned to produce about 2.2 million tons of products at Topkinsky Cement in 12 months, and 1.16 million tons at Iskitimcement. The forecast indicator for the Angarskcement is 769.1 thousand tons, for the Krasnoyarsk Cement Plant - 634.4 thousand, TimlyuyCement expects to complete the year by releasing 364.9 thousand tons of construction material.
Approximately 7.7 million square meters of chrysotile cement products will be manufactured at the Volna plant. Sibirsky Beton will ship 261.8 thousand cubic meters of concrete and mortars to customers. Gornaya Kompaniya will produce 78.7 thousand tons of products.
According to the calculations of Sibcem analysts, in January-November of this year, the capacity of the cement market of Siberia in its former borders (taking into account the Republic of Buryatia and the Trans-Baikal Territory) amounted to 6.1 million tons, which is 4% less compared to the same indicator in 2021. In total, the macroregion will consume about 6.37 million tons of cement in the outgoing year (the same indicator for 2021 is about 6.7 million tons).
"It is difficult to talk about how the situation in the market of Siberia and the whole country will develop in the future. We are considering three possible scenarios for the development of events – optimistic, working and negative. In accordance with the work plan, we do not rule out a decrease in demand for cement in Russia by 7% in 2023 to the level of 2022," emphasizes Gennady Rasskazov, First Vice President of Sibcem. – At the same time, we hope that the measures taken by the government of the country will help smooth out negative trends. Accordingly, when planning the holding's repair and investment programs for the next year, we focus not on a possible drop in cement consumption, but, at least, on maintaining the indicators of the outgoing year. The company will be able to fully provide builders with high–quality cement even if the demand for it increases: having a work plan, we are ready for the most desirable scenario - an option involving the growth of the domestic economy."
