SigmaRoc and Carrières du Boulonnais form a joint venture to expand the supply of limestone and limestone products

SigmaRoc, a group of companies specializing in the building materials industry, headquartered in London, has signed a joint venture agreement with Carrières du Boulonnais (CB), a large high-quality limestone and building materials company headquartered in Calais (France), Carrières du Boulonnais of the Groupe Carrières du Boulonnais (Groupe CB). The latter became the owner of a 25% stake in Granulats du Hainaut (GduH), the manufacturing and marketing subsidiary of Groupe CB in the Benelux countries, which will significantly expand the supply of GduH limestone and products made from it in these countries and in Northern France. SigmaRoc will continue to fully own its Belgian quarries.

CB will co-invest in the construction of new crushing and screening plants planned for 2024 at GduH's Carrières du Hainaut aggregate plant in Soigny, Belgium. The company will also share its extensive technical expertise to optimize the performance of new plants and the quality of their products. As a result, GduH will begin serving the Benelux and Northern France markets and, following the expiration of the existing LafargeHolcim supply agreement in 2024, will supply over 2 million tons of aggregates per year to the construction industry, making it one of the largest suppliers in the region.

Groupe CB is a major supplier to the French building materials market, operates a large network of quarries and concrete plants throughout France and is present in 30 other countries through a number of joint ventures.
