Spanish company Molins acquires Secil assets in Portugal

Spain’s Cementos Molins has reached an agreement to acquire 100 % of Secil Companhia Geral de Cal e Cimento, S.A. (Secil). 

Thus, Molins is expanding its influence in Europe and completing its geographic expansion in Latin America by entering Brazil. 

Secil is operating in eight markets with an annual cement production capacity of about 10 Mta, of which 4.2 Mta are from 3 cement plants in Portugal in Outão (photo), Maceira-Liz and Cibra-Pataias. Secil recorded €740m in sales over the past 12 months. The closing of the transaction is expected in the first quarter of 2026.
