Akçansa Çimento aims to reduce its carbon footprint by implementing advanced technologies in Türkiye, including hydrogen and Oxyfuel technologies.
A first step shall be made by capturing and using 0.07 Mta of CO2 through green methanol production at the Çanakkale cement plant (photo). Akçansa will take part in the ‘HySouthMarmara Project’, the first hydrogen valley in Türkiye, carried out by an international consortium under the coordination of the South Marma Development Agency.
