The procedure for regulating prices for construction materials has been established in Belarus

Belarus has adopted the procedure for regulating prices for building materials, products and structures. This is provided by the Ordinance No. 73 of the Ministry of Architecture and Construction of July 30, 2021, which was officially published on the National Legal Internet Portal on August 28.

The document establishes the maximum rate of return used to determine the amount of profit margins for the prices of building materials, products, structures, used in the construction of facilities (except roads, bridges and tunnels), funded in whole or in part by the national or local budgets, including state targeted budget funds, as well as state extrabudgetary funds and foreign loans.

For legal entities and individual entrepreneurs the marginal rate of profitability in sales is 20% of the planned production cost excluding costs associated with transportation to the unloading point defined by the contract. The maximum wholesale markup is set at 10% of the contract price regardless of the number of intermediaries involved.

The Ordinance shall enter into force on the first day of the month following the month of its official publication.
