Since the end of August, the main supplier of cement to the Sakhalin Region, OOO Simost, the official dealer of AO Spasskcement in Sakhalin, plans to increase the volume of supplies of this material to the region in order to fully meet the needs of construction companies. Also, agreements were reached with Russian Railways on the prompt delivery of cement to the islands. These are the main results of the workshop on the sale of cement in the region, which was held on August 23 with the interested parties by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Sakhalin Region Anton Zaitsev.
According to OOO Simost, increased demand for cement in the region in 2021 was due to a significant increase in construction volumes. Transport companies were unable to cope with the declared traffic volume, as a result of which there were growing monthly delays in deliveries and a shortage of cement.
