Timlyuisk Cement Plant (a subsidiary of JSC HC Sibcem) started reconstruction of rotary kiln No. 2

The need to launch another kiln was driven by the demand of the market.

In order to meet consumer demand for cement, Timlyuy cement plant has developed and started implementing a complex project aimed at increasing the plant's capacity.

In order to provide slurry for three rotary kilns, Raw Mill No. 3 was upgraded in the Grinding Shop, with its diameter increased from 2.2 to 2.6 metres. The equipment was commissioned in June. Raw material mill No. 4 will undergo a similar renovation. At the same time, the fifth mill will be converted to cement grinding.

The works on the second kiln started in August. Currently, the electrostatic precipitator is being upgraded at the facility. Representatives of the contractors have already dismantled the roof of the first, second and third kilns, cleaned the construction elements from accumulated dust and dirt. Special trestles have been prepared for installation and assembly of new corona electrodes. Sibcemservis LLC specialists from Angarsk and Kamensk performed cleaning and revision of the roller bearings of the rotary kiln and replaced bearings in the units.

‘We are restoring the main drive gearbox, changing spare parts. While the repair is underway, we will use the old drive. It is necessary for turning the furnace, for example, when knocking out the worn lining, - says the director of separate structural subdivision of LLC ‘Sibcemservice’ in the village of Kamensk Evgeny Paley. - In the future, a new main drive gearbox will be installed.

The next in line is replacement of the furnace body: replacement of the gear ring, the shell between supports No. 3-4 and parts of the recuperator unit, as well as dismantling and repair of the chain heat exchanger. ‘The launch of rotary kiln No. 2 is scheduled for May 2025,’ says Alexey Pomazkin, Production Director of Timlyui-Cement LLC. - Commissioning of the second technological line will allow the company increase its clinker production capacity by 33% and meet the market demand for high-quality cement’.
