In October 2020, 6.5 million m2 of housing was commissioned in the Russian Federation (excluding residential buildings on gardening plots), which is 10,9 % more than in October 2019. The volume of housing commissioned in 10 months of 2020 increased by 7.4 % compared to the same period last year, up to 55.1 million m2.
853 apartment buildings were built in October 2020 with a total of 92,900 new apartments. In January-October 2020, 5,700 apartment buildings were built with a total of 713,700 new apartments.
In January-October 2020 (as per DOM.RF and Frank RG), Russian banks issued more mortgage loans than in the 12 months of last year. The growth of mortgage lending in January-October, compared to the same period last year, amounted to 30 % in terms of quantity and 45 % in monetary value.
