Unloading of hoppers and silos by high pressure pulses

The article cites the results of introducing the Silo-Flow system at the Nesher Cement plant (Israel). The system was developed and supplied by Flow Industries Ltd. (USA). It is intended for pulsed discharge of tightly packed materials from containers. The system combines a high-pressure bridge-breaker and a vibro-activator. Installation of this system on synthetic gypsum bunkers has demonstrated its high efficiency, and the plant has ordered two more such systems.
