Effect of diluents on the rheological properties of the raw slurry
The results of rheological analysis of the raw slurry for cement production are given. The examination was carried out using a modern rotary viscometer Rheotest RN4.1. It was found that in the presence of new generation diluents all the rheological properties change: the effective viscosity, the yield point and thixotropic destruction energy. The resulting raw slurry flow patterns make it possible to estimate the reduction of power consumption for transportation and mixing of raw slurries.Author: L.D. Shakhova, S.M. Rakhimbayev, L.V.
