Portland cement containing fly ash for prevention of alkaline concrete corrosion
The issues of using dust-like fly ash to reduce the expansion strain of cement-sand mortar with the development of alkaline corrosion are addressed. The results of X-ray studies of the fly ash reactions in the solution of calcium hydroxide, a liquid medium simulating the hardening cement, are given. The conditions for use of local reactive aggregates for Portland cement concrete with ash content of up to 20% are determined.Author: G.S. Royak, I.V. Granovskaya, N.V. Strzhalkovskaya, D.A.
