OAO Sebryakov-Cement: switching from wet to dry mode of production in a cold climate

The paper describes a project to build a new clinker production line at OAO Sebryakov-Cement. The engineering and equipment supplier was Danish FLSmidth. The project was developed and implemented jointly by the both companies. The technical solutions allowed for efficient use of raw materials with high moisture content, using the "dry" technology to produce clinker, which reduced the fuel consumption compared to the wet method by more than 40%. The characteristics of the main technological equipment and the results of tests are given. After December, 2013, when the guaranteed performance indicators were achieved, the new line has been in operation for more than a year in the continental climate with a high reliability.
