Effect of zinc oxide on the clinker

The influence of the material from used tires containing ZnO (as an alternative fuel), as well as the addition of zinc oxide (up to 2%) on sintering and phase composition of the clinker were examined. The burning property of the raw material mix is improved with adding a small amount of zinc oxide. The strength of the cement is increased if ZnO is present in the clinker.
