The flexible control system for asynchronous mill drives

This article describes one of the modern technological solutions by Siemens to control the rate of induction motor drives with an option to recover the energy back to the grid. The system was specially adapted for use with the mill drives and has a number of advantages, allowing its use both in the mining industry and the cement industry.
