The article describes the application of Geoscan industrial installations for on-belt Prompt Gamma Neutron Activation Analysis (PGNAA)from Australian company Scantech for determining and adjusting the composition of raw materials mix on the conveyor belt in real time. The working principle of the analyzeris explained. Itsuse in the process atthe cement plant of Adelaide Brighton Cement Ltd, Australia– adjustment of the composition of the raw mix to feed the mill, the introduction of the analyzer and its integration with the existing automation systems and laboratory equipmentare described.
