The corporate structure of the cement industry of the UK is described and the trends of its development. In the 21st century one of them is vertical integration. After a period of recession associated with the global financial crisis, the cement consumption in the country rose to the amounts higher than the pre-crisis levels. The information on the equipment of process lines of burning is given, the projects of production modernization of recent years, raw materials and fuel used. The degree of replacement of natural fuels by its alternative types at the UK cement plants has exceeded 40%. The use of alternative raw materials and mineral additives is growing.
