Prospects for nanotechnologies for cement-based materials

The information on the main areas of using nanotechnologies in relation to building materials is given. The use of nanoparticles, nanofibres and nanocompounds on the basis of graphene for the modification of cement-based materials, as well as the role of nanotechnologies in the areas of corrosion protection of building materials, development of special coatings, improvement of chemical additives, etc. are described. The issues related to the safety of nanomaterials and nanotechnologies are discussed. The prospects of using nanotechnologies in the construction sector are shown.
