1 Million TPA Grinding Plant in Uzbekistan Launched After 5 Year Downtime

Bekabadcement and Kuvasaycement will both use a grinding plant with a design capacity of 1 million tpa in the city of Yangiyul, Tashkent region. The grinding plant belongs to Kuvasaycement, but the facilities have been idle since 2015 and the companies agreed upon joint usage.

The Yangiyul grinding plant was commissioned in 2010 and operated as part of United Cement Group, a parent company of Bekabadcement, Kuvasaycement and several other enterprises at the time. After Bekabadcement left United Cement Group in 2012, the Yangiyul plant stopped operations. There was a trial start in 2015, but the production ceased.

The grinding plant was originally built to supplement the Bekabadcement’s 2,500 tpd clinker production line commissioned in 2013.

Yangiyul is equipped with two closed-circuit cement mills with a capacity of 75 tons of PC 500-D0 [CEM I 42.5N] per hour each. Yangiyul’s packaging line is 110 tph.

There are three major railway freight stations in the vicinity of the plant allowing the supply of up to 5,000 tons of cement to customers daily.

Bekabadcement is the only enterprise in the Republic of Uzbekistan running both wet and dry process production lines. In April 2020, the plant began modernizing its own grinding facilities to increase its design capacity from 1.1 to 1.5 million tpa.
