Bekabadcement Modernizes Grinding and Packaging Facilities

Bekabadcement undergoes modernization that will increase its output  by 400,000 tons, up to 1.5 million tons per year. The plant will receive a new grinding unit with a capacity of 100 tons per hour, as the plant’s representatives told Cement and its Applications journal.

The grinding unit will use a separator of Köppern — the German equipment producer.

The Bekabadcement’s quarry will receive a new crushing and screening facility to produce gravel and sand mix. The supplier of the crushing and screening equipment is a Turkish company. The shipment is delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic restrictions.

The new packaging facility with a capacity of 120 tons per hour will increase the share of bagged cement (25 and 50 kgs) to 520,000 tons per year.

Having clinker reserves allowed the Bekabad Cement to keep the production running this year. The decision of the government of Uzbekistan to allow the construction works during the COVID-19 pandemic allowed cement sales to bounce back.

Bekabadcement currently supplies the construction works of hospitals in Tashkent and the Tashkent region.
