Atakaycement Increases Cement Production and Dispatch Volumes Due to Modernization

Atakaycement plant in the Krasnodar region increased the production and dispatch volumes of cement in Q1 2020 due to the timely modernization campaign. Production volumes exceeded expectations by 9.4 % (up to 79,900 tons). Dispatch volume increased by 12.6 % (up to 82,200 tons), as the plant representatives reported to ‘Cement and its Applications’.

The rotary kiln underwent ring lining works by the Austrian company RHI Magnesita. Three grinding rolls of the MPS-2650 vertical raw mill were replaced, the marl grinding processing complex and cement mills No. 1 and 2 were repaired.

The modernization campaign at Atakaycement began in February. A clinker supply was made in advance in order to provide uninterrupted grinding operations.

November 2020 is planned as a start for cement mill No. 3 repair works at Atakaycement (body and internals).

Atakaycement in the village of Gaiduk near Novorossiysk has a design capacity of 450,000 tpa.
